COMMISSIONS
Commissioning a bespoke piece from Matthew is a simple, collaborative, and rewarding process. Every item is individually designed and handcrafted to suit your space, style, and needs. From the first conversation to the final delivery, you'll be involved in bringing something truly unique to life.
HOW IT WORKS
1. INITIAL CONSULTATION
We’ll start with an informal chat about what you’re looking for—style, function, materials, and budget. From this, we’ll create a design brief and agree on a timeline. We’ll also begin considering what materials and finishes will suit your space best.
2. DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
Matthew will present a selection of design ideas using hand-drawn sketches and/or 3D computer models. You’ll have the opportunity to refine the concept until it’s exactly what you want. Materials, finishes, and details will be discussed in depth, and you'll be kept up to date throughout the process.
3. MAKING YOUR PIECE
Once the design is approved, a 25–50% deposit is required to begin production. You're welcome to visit the workshop at any time to see your piece being made and follow its progress.
4. COMPLETION & DELIVERY
When the piece is finished, we’ll arrange delivery at a time that works for you. The remaining balance is due upon delivery.
